Article & Photos by Justin Rocket Silverman, amNew York Staff Writer
As the U.S. closes in on its fourth year in Iraq, the Granny Peace Brigade Sunday ramped up its protest of the war with a week-long vigil honoring the soldiers killed since fighting began in March 2003. The Grannys will spend six days, from dawn till dusk, at the Times Square military recruiting center reading the names of the more than 7,700 Americans, coalition soldiers and journalists killed since fighting began in March 2003.
