CONGRESSMAN KUCINICH: Iraq Shows Failure On Preemptive War Strategy; Congress Should Reject Administration’s Latest National Security Doctrine
Washington, March 16, 2006

Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich gave the following statement today on the Administration’s National Security Doctrine calling for more preemptive wars:

“Over four years ago, this Administration reversed over 40 years worth of national security strategy, and adopted a doctrine of preemptive war that served as the basis for the ill-advised and misguided war in Iraq. Three years later the American public now knows that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction and did not have the ability, intention or capability to attack our nation. We now know what a folly the Bush Administration policy in Iraq has been. Today, with the release of the new National Security Doctrine, the Administration names Iran as the top threat, and states again that we have the right to preemptively attack any country.”

“Are we here on the threshold of permanent war, where the Administration can keep listing enemies and the American taxpayers with their son’s and daughter’s blood will have to keep paying for wars that we should not get into? We should not only vote against this Supplemental Appropriation bill we should start to call into question the Administration’s entire national security policy. They are setting America against the world and we are paying for it everyday.”

As difficult as it is to consider the possibility that the official government account of 9/11 is wrought with lies, it's time to consider what the good people at 9/11 Scholars for Truth are saying. http://www.wingtv.net/thorn2006/alexandria.html
