Working Families e-Activist Network - The Cavalry Has Arrived
The cavalry has arrived. Reports from key battleground states across the country confirm that thousands of people like you are showing up and volunteering for the June door-to-door mobilization. In Minneapolis, more than 400 people showed up to go door to door last week--many more than organizers had planned for. More than 500 people in Cleveland gave up part of their Saturday. Volunteer centers in St. Louis were swamped with more than 600 volunteers on just one day! Excitement is building, yet there is a risk: The first wave of volunteers is the most enthusiastic, but what happens if they can't show up every time? That is why we need your help recruiting volunteers in the 16 battleground states. Please click below to get started. http://www.unionvoice.org/ct/HpakW641d7Vu/

This is just the start. In most elections, this level of activity doesn't start until October. We're cranking it up right now. All it takes is a couple of hours on a Saturday. Please help us recruit volunteers in key states. The June walk mobilization is going on in more than 108 different communities in the 16 states where the election will be closest. Just three hours of your time will make a huge difference. So what happens when somebody volunteers? Well, they're contacted by a local volunteer coordinator with information about how they can help. They're asked to show up on a Saturday morning or after work during the week--there are lots of different shifts--and make phone calls or go door to door talking to union voters about the issues and the candidates. You'll meet some great people and feel better knowing you did your part. Nobody wants to wake up the day after the election and say, "Gee, I could've helped a little more." Do your part America and sign up today.

RECENT TEXAS DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION - One Of Feature Speakers Was Kucinich - Message From Sherry Monarko

Hello my fellow Kucinich supporters! This is Sherry Monarko [TX State Kucinich Delegate] from Austin Texas, just back from the Texas Democratic Convention and WOW! It was great putting faces to those of you I only knew as online handles before and have y'all read the news headlines yet? We did it! We did it!

Those of you who were with me at the convention heard all sorts of folks - and not just the Kucinich supporters either - saying the same thing. "When is someone going to mention the war?" "Why won't anyone mention the Patriot Act?" "When is anyone going to call for an End to NAFTA and stop the outsourcing of our jobs?" We did it! When Dennis took that stage, we did it by resoundingly being the voice these estranged people were waiting for. We gave them a reason to hope. I talked to several women later who said they were CRYING they were so happy someone finally had, without any fear, brought up the issues that mattered most to them and made them front and
center of the convention.

The passion, energy, and commitment to truth of Dennis Kucinich and folks like you and it was an infection that spread through the room so fast, we were able to translate those words into action. We did it. We successfully passed, in it's entirety, the resolution for the Dept of Peace, previously butchered by the resolutions committee, by gathering over 2,000 signatures for it on the floor so we could present it to the Chair. The Texas Convention gave PROOF that Dennis's message is what Americans are crying to hear if the Democrats are to win in November. That's why he's still in the race. And it's why we're not done yet. And one more thing. If anyone still thinks Texas is a Republican state, so why even try, they're gonna have another thing coming in November. I don't want to go on and on, so please check out [the forum on] Dennis's website... where I'll personally probably be posting all day: http://us.denniskucinich.us/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=75 And thank you, each and every one of you, for your amazing support.
