WKSU’s Kevin Niedermeir Reports on US Department of Peace Campaign

Cleveland Congressman and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is making another attempt to convince Congress that the nation and the world needs a Department of Peace. The idea is again generating both criticism and support. Kucinich first pushed the idea in 2001 after the 9-11 terrorist attacks, and it was part of his 2004 presidential bid. In 2005 he introduced an un-successful House Bill to authorize a cabinet level Department of Peace. Recently, he re-introduced that bill.
