[Duchess Note - Along with fellow Kucitizen (Stephanie), I participated in this event on the upper westside of Manhattan near 96th Street. Many of us were bundled up against the cold wind displaying signs, banners and handing out flyers. Pedestrians and motorists gave us the thumbs up and took flyers. There are many New Yorkers who are against war and for peace. We see very few who are pro-war. They sometimes anger us, but mostly we feel pity, as they've been misinformed and brainwashed by the likes of Fox News, etc. Join us in protesting this war and occupation of Iraq, as well as the Bush Regimes escalation of more troops. Liberals and Progressives do support the troops, just not the government and certainly not this illegal war. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the troops and their families. You are in our hearts ... always.]
