Don't Let Media Pick Nominee By Themselves

Clipping from the above article
In essence, the reporters like to decide for themselves who's electable. It makes their job easier. Much more fun to report on Dean's "scream" or Kerry's wife's millions or Edwards' sex appeal than it is to report on issues. Like the war in Iraq. Do you know, for instance, that both Kerry and Edwards plan on continuing to call up more soldiers and continue the occupation indefinitely "to keep the peace"? As Kucinich said at the rally Feb. 21, we're offered a Democratic war or a Republican war. Kucinich has a plan to end the occupation.

Friends Ask, Why Don't I See Dennis Kucinich On TV? Good Question!
by Daniel Welch

Of course, only the media can answer for its coverage priorities, but consider this: On Tuesday last, Congressman Kucinich won 30% of the vote in Hawaii's Democratic primary, coming in second with more than twice the total of John Edwards. Yahoo News ran a story saying, in the first paragraph, that Kerry had won and Edwards had come in third! They didn't even mention Kucinich until the very end of the article! Must be a mixup, right? Well then, how about this one: NPR reported one day last week that Kucinich was no longer campaigning. Must have had him mixed up with Howard Dean. . .? Alright. A volunteer in CA got a call from a major polling firm, asking her if she would vote for "Kerry, Edwards, Dean Clark or other". She wanted to know why they were asking about two candidates no longer running, but left out Kucinich! Well, these things happen, don't they? Okay, heres the kicker: Associated Press ran a story about Hawaii with a chart showing how the candidates did. They had columns for Kerry, Edwards, Dean and 30% under "other". The guy who came in second has NO name! Now its our turn to ask a question ... Why do we trust the press, who told us there was nothing wrong with the Florida election, the press who championed the Iraq war despite the lies, the press who chooses which candidates 8x10 glossy will wind up on the front page. Why would we ever trust the press to tell us who we want for our next president?!?

Vote your heart ... vote for REAL change ... vote Dennis Kucinich for President on March 2nd! Pass on the info ... DJK is for national single payer healthcare, ending the US occupation of Iraq, cancelling NAFTA and WTO. We need to stop the powerful corporations from sending OUR jobs overseas at the expense of workers and the environment. AND YES, DENNIS KUCINICH IS STILL RUNNING. Keep the faith ... Peace & Solidarity!

Glory Glory Profiteering
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the Chairmen of the Board.
They are trampling our benefits and outsourcing abroad.
They have cooked the books at Enron and committed massive fraud.
Their greed is marching on.
[chorus]
Glory, glory profiteering
Glory, glory profiteering
Glory, glory profiteering
Their greed is marching on.
[next verse]
They are marching into Baghdad no-bid contracts in their hands.
They envision Super Wal-Marts rising from the desert sand.
They'll bring Big Macs into Baghdad and into Afghanistan.
Their greed is marching on.
[chorus]
[next verse]
Mine eyes have seen the lobbyists from Unocol and Shell.
They are in the VPs office; for what purpose? They won't tell.
But they have a list of places where they'd like to drill some wells.
Their greed is marching on.
[chorus]
[next verse]
Big pharma owns my senator, they bought him fair and square.
They gave him fifty thousand for his vote on Medicare.
Then they traded him to Bechtel for two reps from Delaware.
Their greed is marching on.
[chorus]
[next verse]
So when it seems your Congressman just really doesn't care.
Its because he's only dancing with the one who brought him there.
He will privatize your water and he'll privatize your air.
His greed is marching on.
[chorus]
