It's great, isn't it, when someone bakes you cookies or gives you flowers they grew - or a handmade sweater or something they drew. Those types of gifts are the best. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you all to contribute towards the improvement of our government by educating our neighbors and others about the thoughtful and common sense policies which Congressman Dennis Kucinich is offering. Your passion and dedication are heart-warming and encouraging and our work is part of that movement of activists which is raising voter expectations of what our government should be doing. I have been asked by local activists in NYC to turn my attention towards responding to Dennis's call to provide a Congress which he could work with to further our vision of peace and prosperity for all. I am excited about the opportunities which my running for Congress presents. We have formed an Exploratory Committee to explore these opportunities.

We believe that we can win this seat in New York City, replacing a Democratic Leadership Council Democrat with another member of the Progressive Caucus. We've got a good shot if we raise a fraction of what the incumbent has raised and if we organize and work together to develop a strong field operation for my Congressional District. We need donations and staff to come on board now, and so we can achieve an early momentum to define this race and determine its outcome. Volunteers and donors do not have to live in New York City.
