Kucinich will be in Washington State Over Next Few Days
Dennis is visiting Washington state over the next few days with stops in Lacey, Tacoma, Bellevue, and Seattle [Pearl Jam mecca!]. Thursday he is on to Redmond, Seattle, and Spokane. If you are in Washington, Dennis welcomes you to stop by and discuss the issues faced by people in Washington state as well as across the country.

[Wonderful message from George M at "kucinich4president" Yahoo Group, which I wanted to share with all my viewers. Yes, its about Dennis, but also what's going on in America today. A vast, important movement ... don't let this movement die ... keep it going on and on. Power to the People!]

I know it may be discouraging to some that Dennis is not doing well in the primaries yet. So I would like to offer a larger perspective. What we are doing goes beyond supporting one candidate for President. We are joining together in a mass movement that embodies our greatest hope for the US. I truly believe that we fight for an America, for a world, that most people would like to live in. A world where peace and positive relationships abound. A world of plenty for all and environmental sustainable for the future. A world of dignity and respect for workers. A world where all, regardless of gender, nationality, age, sexual preference and skin color can survive, and thrive side by side. Deep down, most people want this. The only problem is that they think it can't happen. If only we all knew how many there were of us!

We are setting the stage for this consciousness. We have seen how people respond to Dennis's message of hope, when they get a chance to hear him. We have seen other candidates shift their platforms towards Dennis's as THEY see how people respond to him. The world is ready for change. The problem is that we are up against an extremely powerful wall of mega-corporations and media which do not wish to loose their power. They have a terrible sickness, an addiction to greed. Bucking them will prove to be a huge challenge, but it is not an insurmountable one.

So, we must not give up hope, and we must never give in on our values. I think Dennis would agree, that this is much bigger than one man's campaign. And keep in mind, this is only the beginning. Whether Dennis wins the presidency, or not, we must not give in. What we are fighting for is nothing less than the soul of the country, of the world. We will only prevail if we realize that this is (like the "War on Terror," ha, ha) a battle which may well take our whole lives. That is not meant to discourage, but to strengthen! This is only the beginning, and we are off to a great start!

The world needs all of us. We are the ones we are waiting for. All great movements, abolition, women's rights, civil rights, workers' rights, environmental movement, took MANY years, sometimes decades, to come to fruition. And the odds were just as insurmountable as they are today. So, I invite everyone hear to become a hero. Fight for Dennis now, fight for a better world for as long as it takes. You already are heroes. The world needs all of us.

Primary Report
Kucinich beats Lieberman in New Mexico. Kucinich captured 5% of the New Mexico nearly a two to one margin over Lieberman, which explains why Lieberman later gave up his race for the presidency. I watched his concession speech. The crowd applauded politely. It was golf tournament applause. They applauded thankful that the farce that Joe was a Democrat was finally over. To be fair the applause would have been more substantial if so many had not been holding their noses. Bouyed by his victory Kucinich said, "one down four to go." Spokesman for Kerry, Edwards, Clark and Dean put on a brave face but you could see the fear in their eyes. Go Dennis. Seriously whether Dennis becomes the Democratic nominee or not he will have an impact on the race and whatever else you have to say about Dennis you can thank him for chasing out Lieberman. I can now support any remaining Democratic nominee for president without holding my nose. Edwards speech after his victory was fabulous and Kerry speaking in Washington is finally getting his speech in shape. He's no Edwards on the stump but not bad. Recent polls show that both can beat George Bush in November and that is very good news. The Democrats are energized, they are angry, they are ready to kick Dub's sorry ass all the way back to Crawford.
